Don't Let Your Halloween Candy go to Waist ...
I Mean WASTE!
Contribute it to Operation Shoebox
and our US Troops today.

It seems like each Halloween we never know just how many kids to plan on for Trick-or-Treating at our house.  One year, we have busloads of kids ringing our door bell.  Other years, just a trickle.  Fall weather in Chicagoland is fickle, and explains much of the variation in turnout.

My wife would have nightmares if even one child didn't get all the candy they wanted when visiting our home though ...  so each year she buys like Patton's army is going to stop by.  This year was no different.

Needless to say, it's not uncommon for us to have candy "leftovers".  Now I pitch in and do what I can to keep good candy from going to waste.  But a man can only do what one man can do!  So when I came upon a blurb on the internet regarding "what to do with all your leftover Halloween candy",  I knew I had stumbled upon a great solution to our family's candy dilemma.

Operation Shoebox, founded in 2003 in an effort to send support, snacks and much needed personal care items to our troops deployed outside of the USA, and located out of Belleview, Florida ... is HAPPY to take your leftover Halloween candy off your hands.  They'll in turn send the candy to our troops.  End of problem ... and a great solution!

Each year,  Operation Shoebox  sends massive amounts of candy to our men and women serving overseas.  They're always in need of candy donations so they can satisfy the sweet-tooth cravings of our military members.

If  YOU  have candy leftovers like I do, please think about sharing that candy with our troops.  Send your leftover Halloween candy to the following address:

Operation Shoebox
8360 E. Highway 25
  Belleview, Florida  34420

For more information on  Operation Shoebox,  their wide variety of services, and the needs they fulfill for our US Troops, go to:  www.operationshoebox.com.
With the Holidays coming, they presently have  urgent need  for other items, as well as monetary donations.

Don't let your Halloween candy go to waist ... I mean waste!  Contribute it to  Operation Shoebox  and our US Troops today.
