Need Room for Your Pets to Roam? Maybe it's Time to Buy a Home

Need Room for Your Pets to Roam?
Maybe it's Time to Buy a Home

Our son, John, and his family recently added a new member to our family ... Lily.  A sweet playful beautiful black puppy.

Lily is now my wife's and my "furry grandchild" and she's quickly establishing her place in our lives.

As it is with all our grandchildren, we can't wait to see her.  And it's an absolute "must" that we have a pup treat of some kind for her each and every time we do.  I often find pup treat crumbs in my coat pockets these days.

In the pic shared here, Lily is sleeping on her favorite blanket with her paw firmly on her favorite toy.  This toy and other puppy paraphernalia can now be found scattered throughout my son's home.  Truth told, there's a bit of it at our house once again too.

After we visited our son's home this last weekend, the reality of what it means to have a puppy in the house came rushing back to me.  And it got me thinking ...

While our family's dog, Maggie has been gone for a while now, Lily's toys and blankets, etc. all remind me that, like other kids, puppies have needs.  Toys ... love and care ... food ... immunizations ... and room to grow and play are a must for a healthy pup or any pet.

Our pets play a huge part in our lives.  They love us, play with us, support us emotionally ... all unconditionally.   If you have a pup (or other pet), you certainly know what I mean.    Wanting the best for them is only natural and right.

So if your family has a pet and it has you thinking that a yard for them to roam and play is what they need ... or if finding a new home that fits your and their needs better is your goal ... the video I created and offer here will be timely, supply some food for thought, and kickstart action.

As you certainly planned and prepared before adding your furry friend to your life prior to their arrival, the video can help you plan and prepare to seek and find the best financing option to buy the home you want now. ..

I hope you feel free to reach out to me, should you have any questions after viewing this video.  Lily and I will be happy to hear from you ... and whatever your financing needs, assist you moving forward!

Home Buying and Student Loans CAN Go Hand-in-Hand

Home Buying and Student Loans
CAN Go Hand-in-Hand

Conduct a search on the topic "Home buying with Student Loans" and pages and pages of articles, information, advice, and opinions quickly pop up ...

"Do Student Loans Affect Buying a House?"

"How Student Debt Can Ruin Home Buying Dreams"

"Here's How To Buy A House When You Have
Student Loan Debt"

are each an example of the many such articles I found when I conducted my search today.  Each article addresses the very real worry that too many hopeful home buyers face as holders of Student Loan debt.

The focus of many of these articles is often placed on just how overwhelming Student Loans can be financially.  They're uber-focused on challenges that can exist.

Many portray a bit of defeatist attitude.  And that's sad because as a result after reading them, too many people holding Student Loans assume that they have no route to successful home buying.  They don't ask questions or make any inquiries.

And that's not true.  Home buying options CAN exist for those holding Student Loans.

Mortgages for home buying and Student Loans CAN go hand-in-hand.  The outcome greatly depends on the type of Student Loan held by the loan applicant and what type of mortgage is being pursued when seeking home financing.

Finding the options that exist for Student Loan holders can be likened to creating a new complex recipe in a kitchen.  Many ingredients, differing measurements, and cooking options are considered to find the successful outcome hoped for.

Some of the many "ingredients" that must be considered by the loan officer (chef) of a Student Loan-holding mortgage applicant are:

  • How is the mortgage applicant's Student Loan reported to the Credit Bureaus?
  • Is a deferment in place?
  • Are payments currently being made on the Student Loan(s)
  • What are the terms of the loan(s)?
  • What is the balance of the loan(s)?
  • What mortgage program best fits the applicant?
  • What "rules and regulations" for underwriting exist if using FHA, VA, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae?
  • Which serves the applicant's interests best?

Because there are so many "ingredients" for loan officers to consider while finding an applicant's perfect recipe ... no one should automatically assume that a "recipe" for them successfully buying a home doesn't exist.

And should a path to homeownership not currently exist for you?  At a minimum, you're educated, equipped with information and a plan, and can start gathering your "ingredients" for successful home buying in the future.

What I'm really trying to say, accomplish , and  impress upon anyone holding Student Loans is this:

Don't automatically assume the negative!
Ask questions!
Get the FACTS!

Have a conversation with a Loan Officer experienced and knowledgeable in successfully closing mortgages for those that hold Student Loan(s).  Don't give up on your dream ...

Here's a video I've put together that
addresses this issue:

Please share it with others that you know that have Student Loans and a dream of home buying.

Let's talk ... ask me
your questions!

The Language of Mortgage ... What You Need to Know

The Language of Mortgage ...
What You Need to Know

Possessing a knowledge and understanding of the terminology you will use while seeking and securing a mortgage loan is immensely important ...

Being familiar with the words heard and used also makes the process flow more fluidly and easily for both Borrower (and Lender).

Because there are so many things to consider, weigh, and decide upon during even the simplest mortgage process ... owning even the most basic grasp of the words heard and used help alleviate confusion and stress for Borrowers, especially first-timers.

To help my clients navigate their mortgage process more easily and confidently, I always try to explain and educate regarding the "language of Mortgage". The video I created and provided here will help me do so more easily moving forward.

While my simple video doesn't cover every word/term used during every mortgage process, it covers those words seen and heard most often in the majority of clients' experience.

It's my opinion that no one should enter into the mortgage process without possessing an understanding of these basics terms.  Borrowers should always familiarize themselves with the "language of Mortgage".  It's an insurance policy of sorts.

Watch the following video ... then have a conversation with me or your own local Loan Officer.  Make sure you ask questions and request clarification of any terms (or other info) that you don't thoroughly understand before proceeding.

Feel free to share this video with others entering the mortgage and home buying process ...

And again:  Do not hesitate to reach out to me or your LO for more information and answers concerning mortgages, credit, mortgage terminology, or more.  It's imperative that you feel comfortable and secure as you enter and navigate your mortgage process.
