"Manhattan Irish Fest" - 2016
March 4th & 5th - Manhattan, IL
Manhattan, IL is the place I'm proud to call home. Manhattan's located smack in the heart of Will County, IL ... and is a town proud of its deep Irish roots.
Activities for young and old alike are planned for both days of the Fest. This year's Fest is being held in a new location, the new parking lot located just north of Fire Station 81.
Some of this year's planned activities are:
A dance featuring a DJ, held on Friday, March 4th from 6 to 10 pm at the Park District Rec Center. All ages invited.
An Irish Breakfast served at St. Joseph's Parish Center, Saturday, March 5th, 8 - 10:30 am. Tickets are available at the door ... or by calling the church at: 815.478.3341.
A special Mass being held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, located at 275 W. North Street , on Saturday, March 5th, at 8:30 am.
A Craft Fair, sponsored by the Manhattan Woman's Club, held from 9 am to 3 pm on Saturday, March 5th at St. Joseph's School.
The 21st Annual "Manhattan Irish Fest Parade" kicking off at 11:10 am on Saturday, March 5th.
A 5K Run preceding the Parade starts at 11 am and follows the parade route. Info for those wanting to take part can be obtained HERE.
Rugby matches are planned for 1:00 and 3:00 pm at Central Park. And the Park District Rec Center will once again offer activities for the entire family between the hours of Noon to 9 pm that day.
Great music is always a huge part of the fun at the "Manhattan Irish Fest". The scheduled entertainment for 2016 is:

Buttons to "Manhattan Irish Fest" are for sale, in local establishments. All attendees of the "Manhattan Irish Fest" must obtain Buttons. Children under 7 years attend FREE of charge, when attending with a paying adult.
